I was very disappointed with my previous service so I had a bar to reach with my next. Lawn Doctor, in particular Debbie, made me feel like they cared about me as an individual, not just a customer. She reeled me in and we were up and running in no time! Samantha surveyed my yard, did a soil sample, made recommendations, ensured I understood what to do even if I didn’t utilize them (liming my yard)….I was thoroughly impressed! No pressure to do anything beyond what I wanted. Really a great company. And not only do they charm you, the products and services are making my grass flourish! It’s so plush and it’s May. So far I have been pleased with the company. I appreciated the personal consultation, where the owner personally came out to evaluate and educate me on my lawn. I was about to do some diy work and she let me know that I didn’t need to. By my second treatment, my grass was looking amazing and I had no hope for it. The techs that have come out and have been friendly and seem to be really passionate about their work. I would recommend Lawn Doctor based on the service, quality and value. I’ve used two other companies of this style, and this one has felt like I’m getting more value for the money. ~ Shalonda C

Even before the exact results are known... what I do know is Lisa Donovan (a family owned business) and her team go 100% out of their way to provide folks solid professional support and guidance. While also, if needed, holding your hand with timely updates and extra personal attention (cause man did I need the calming leadership) for allowing home owners to relax knowing highly knowledgeable professionals are behind the Best Practice attention everyone wants with their property. Lawn doctor has the best Customer Service! Like Kerri is so polite over the phone add so happy when she calls when service would be done. Adam, him I corresponded between messages what was being done today and got my answers. Very very polite too! You really don’t see this anymore. You guys are the best and I thank you for getting our lawn how we like it. I would give this group a 10. They go way and beyond customer service! I used to use Truegreen. My wife and I might have given them 3 stars. My neighbor used Lawn Doctor and suggested them when I told him of our issues. Over the past several years Lawn Doctor has done an outstanding job. When they arrive they want to talk....make sure we both are on the same page and address any concerns we might have with services. They go up and above their normal job duties to do a great job (move my trailer to power seed under it. After asking if they can of course). They office staff, usually Nikki, is polite and professional. Keep up the great work. And Thank You! ~ Mark W

They're awesome with their job. Funny thing I saw them at my house on my ring and I called the office to inform them to send my invoices to me through the mail as I'm not home and won't be for some time for the guy to take the door hangers off my door so they dispatched him while he was still there and he went and removed them and then I had a conversation with him one-on-one through my ring it was pretty cool ‼️‼️needless to say I guess they'll go through any measures and lengths to please their customers. ~ Mary S

These folks are awesome! Have used various lawn services with different degrees of success but none measure up. Very professional and know their stuff. Prices are competitive, they are a good value but their service and professionalism just enhances the value. Adam treated our yard today for fungus. Very courteous and professional. When we first bought our house, it was all clay and clover...back to front. A year later I had a meeting with Lawn Doctor who said “we will grass growing on your property”. I was VERY skeptical but went ahead with the plan. 3 years later, we have so much beautiful grass on the entire property it actually boggles the mind! Lucas is our lawn tech and he is so knowledgeable and friendly and has been fantastic for us. I cannot recommend Lawn Doctor & Lucas enough!!! ~ Perry R

Everyone at Lawn Doctor of Richmond has been very pleasant and responsive. They take the time to answer your questions and make reasonable recommendations, explaining why they make each recommendation. So far, they have done everything they said they would do and the mosquitos have been significantly less while my grass looks greener and healthier. In the Fall, we will have to take care of a few bare spots and then I look forward to the lawn I've been dreaming of! ~ Tim D

I have used Lawn Doctor in my current home since 2007. I have been very pleased, and the lawn always looks great. Every employee I have interacted with from Lawn Doctor has been highly professional and pleasant. The communication with customers has really improved over the years as Lawn Doctor has taken advantage if new technological opportunities. I've only been with Lawn Doctor for a few years, but my lawn looks better now than it has ever looked. Lawn Doctor always gives me a courtesy call at least a day before they plan on servicing my lawn. And they are always ready and willing to help with any issues that arise, such as the time I found a fungus and sent them a picture. They knew immediately what it was and helped my get rid of it. Ben was great. I was blowing leaves when he arrived for a fertilizer application. He grabbed his blower and helped me finish so there wouldn’t be a risk of the fertilizer granules being blown away. That extra assistance was not expected but greatly welcomed. What an awesome guy to help a customer out like that! I am a new customer this year to Lawn Doctor. Spent a lot of money on a previous provider with fairy poor results. I could not be happier with how my lawn looks right now after just six months with Lawn Doctor! Their individualized service and attention has been excellent and very professional. Virginia is a challenging state regarding grass / turf management. There are countless weed species and aggressive unwanted grass species to contend with. After 15 years of going it alone, we found Lawn Doctor and they have taken the pressure off of me personally, have shown up for appointments early and respond with an unprecedented expediency I have enjoyed from only a few businesses here in Virginia. So far we’ve been really impressed with Lawn Doctor. Out of everyone I got a quote from they were the only ones to actually come out and look at the lawn. Leading up to seeding the office was responsive and helpful with my questions. Lucas and his team were thorough during seeding and really informative on the process and what to expect. We’ve been very happy with Lawn Doctor. When we moved into our house, our lawn was in terrible shape and Lawn Doctor has made our grass beautiful and lush. Yesterday, Ben was here to provide the fall seeding and I was very pleased with the service. Ben went over and aboard the call of duty to make two trips since my landscaper failed to cut the grass before he arrived. Ben stayed in contact me through out the process to ensure my concerns of getting the yard aeration-seeding complete. He was extremely professional and you should be very thankful to have Ben. I was not home at the time of service, however I observed via the security cameras. In my opinion the technician did an excellent job and did not rush through the service. I really like it when someone takes the time on the lawn instead of hurrying to get somewhere else. I have been a customer with Lawn Doctor of Greater Richmond for approximately ten years. My grass has never looked better. It is green, full, and healthy! The technicians are professional---they send a text when they arrive, and leave a hard copy of the bill (which includes directions for post-treatment care). Ben always does a tremendous job. Before he starts, he always shares what he is applying to the lawn. He let me know that today was the last application of the year. He said, when complete, he would clean up and blow off any fertilizer falling on the sidewalks. Ben is meticulous, thoughtful and thorough. I’m glad he’s our regular technician.
